Wordpress themes using HTML 5
If you’re a Wordpress user, you can start playing around with HTML 5 using one of this themes:
- Brave New World, by Karl Dawson.
- H5, by Digging into Wordpress.
- Wordpress Basis, by WPEngineer.
- Wordpress Naked, by J. P. McGarrity.
- FreeDream, by Caroline Monmerqué.
- Starkers HTML5, by Nathan Staines
Do you know any other Wordpress themes using HTML 5? Let me know and I’ll keep updating the list!

ReplyYes, sometimes the best way to start with something new is by looking how others have done it, and these are all great examples.
Thanks for your comment!
Yeah, indeed. Even for designs and new ideas, I start by looking what others have done, how and *why*! I always try to set a critic eye on what I am seeing. The project I’m currently working on is coming out of the oven in HTML5 and some CSS3 tricks. Yay!

ReplyVery cool Charles. Thanks. I have been developing two templates in HTML5 and CSS3 that I should be releasing pretty soon based on the 52 Framework and quasimo’s Love today theme.
It’s always helpful to see how other developers are applying the semantics handed down by the W3C and other powers that be.

ReplyI’ll sure add it, but is there a way to download the theme? The post was meant to be a list of downloadable HTML5 themes for Wordpress.
